If the bazaars are not what you came for, Istinye Park is the opposite end of Istanbul shopping: three hundred shops, fixed prices, air conditioning, and a luxury wing with the names you would find in Milan or Paris.
It opened in 2007 in Sariyer and was designed with a retractable roof over the central court, so parts of it feel like an open street. The food hall imitates a covered bazaar, which is a pleasant piece of irony given what it replaced.
Open daily 10:00 to 22:00. Tax-free paperwork is handled at the information desk.
From Romance Istanbul Hotel plan on around forty minutes by taxi, longer at rush hour.
